Comment: Goats legs stacked outside a Kathmandu butchers.

Subject: Sobina Khoton<p/>
Location: Durbar square<p/>
Comment: One of my favourite images fro this trip. The girls name is Sobina Khoton. With her two sisters, brother and mother she begs in Durbar square and was there every day.

Comment: I think this little chap had not set eyes on a westerner before! He was so shy. Queuing to see the medical team who were all volunteers. The doctors, dentists and nurses treated 2000 people in 5 days.

Comment: It was amazing to meet the people of Kavre, I feel compelled to return.

Subject: Ladies Festival<p/>
Location: Kathmandu<p/>
Comment: Ladies day celebration is the only day of the year dedicated to Nepal's women. I read later that 100,000 ladies entered one temple to celebrate. Virtually all dressed in red.

Comment: On several occasions I could not cope with the number of people who wanted to be photographed. I was overwhelmed at times!

Comment: This man was putting Tika on the ladies foreheads. I noticed his red hand and he was happy to be photographed. I love the near perfect bank notes against the stained hands.

Comments: Model Anjali dressed in Hindi costume.

Comment: This a common sight in Kathmandu, sleeping on the floor people just step over them.

Comment: I was amazed at the time and trouble this man had made putting this lace in his Wellington boots.

Comment: Man sleeping sat upright.

Subject: 90 Years Old<p/>
Location: Kagati Gaun<p/>
Comment: The oldest person in this village 90 years old pictured holding a goat.

Subject: Beggar<p/>
Location: Kathmandu<p/>
Comment: This child was begging with her mother at the entrance to a temple. Very few children wear shoes in Nepal.

Subject:  Henna Tattoo<p/>
Location: Pesupatinath<p/>
Comment: A cue of thousands of ladies to enter the temple. These hands caught my attention.

Comment: Waiting to visit the doctor, I saw this child on several occasions over five days their expression never changed.

Comments: This old lady could hardly walk.

Comment: This lady wanted to give me a tattoo, I declined the offer. The excitement at the ladies festival was almost tangible. There was a real buzz.

Comment: 68 years old sadhu.

Comment: Lady was applying oil to the babies head.

Subject: Sadhu<p/>
Location: Pashupatinath Temple<p/>
Comments: This Sadhu loved being photographed. I gave virtually every subject money often 50 rupees about 30 pence equivalent to about 6 hours' wages.

Comment: This girl was actually stood with her family group. She was miles away when I captured this portrait. Note the tattoos.
