Subject: Football Match<p/>
Comment: With my customer in mind I captured many images of the crowds behind banners. Most looked into the camera but this crowd were more interested in the football.

Subject: Old Man<p/>
Comment: On a busy day I estimate there were 600 people at the village. On final day there must have been 2000.

Subject: River crossing<p/>
Comment: Every day dozens of people crossed a river to reach the Festival. The bridge was an extra 20 minuets walk so in effect this was a short cut.

Subject: Day Dreaming<p/>
Comment: This boy is surrounded by people it's only the crop that isolates this boy. A football match being played out in front of him. What was he thinking? One of my favourite Nepal images

Subject: Shop Keeper<p/>
Comment: With limited indoor options I had little chance to create moody images like this one. Captured in a small stone shop one of the few low key shots, my favourite style of portrait!

Subject: Buffalo Head<p/>
Comment: A boy washes the head of a Buffalo which had just been slaughtered.

Subject: Runny nose<p/>
Comment: The school wall was often used as a background. This boy was in the cue for the medical team

Subject: Dry Feet<p/>
Arms linked these men crossed the river several times to ferry people across it. You can see the force of the water here. I only saw one accident

Subject: White Shirt<p/>
Comment: The school wall and the white shirt make this a high key image.

Subject: Namaste !<p/>
Comment: This man was delighted to have his portrait taken. You can see more images of him in the Hands and Feet gallery

Subject: This girl appeared every day... she always had a huge smile. Often she carried her sister on her back. Biggest smile in Kavre

Subject: Bad eyes<p/>
Comment: Many of the older people had very poor eyesight. This mans pupils were cloudy and like many others found it difficult to see his image on the camera.

Subject: Crucifix<p/>
Comment: Three men for stability and linked like a crucifix. This old lady did not open her eyes until she arrived on dry land. She was terrified. Next time you cross a road think of this picture
Subject: Topi Hat<p/>
Comment: Man wearing the traditional Nepalese hat the Topi

Subject: Nepalese Ladies<p/>
Comment: Dressed in there best clothing these two ladies were waiting to see the medical team
Subject: School shirt<p/>
Comment: You will see these blue shirts everywhere in Nepal. Standard for school. This boy along with his sister and father all had striking eyes.

Subject: Cook<p/>
Comment:  Six cooks fed us over the five days. All the meals ware excellent. This man was squatting on the kitchen floor making an apple pie. I love the lighting here.

Subject: Three boys<p/>
Comment: UAP ltd built two schools in 2007 something they can be very proud of. The villager's appreciation was apparent

Subject: Old Man<p/>
Comment: Even though this is a still image I do think you get a sense of the power of the River from it. I spent hours watching these river crossings.
Subject: Tiny girl<p/>
This girl clung to her mother most of the time I saw them most days. She was tiny.

Subject: Rain hat<p/>
Comment: It had been raining hard and the sun had just come out. This girl had a small cloth on her head to protect her from the rain.

Subject: Big Smile<p/>
Comment: the people of Kavre have very little. There smiles however very rich. The vast majority seemed so happy. The football tournament brought people together from a large area and was a huge local event.

Subject: Krishna Sapkota<p/>
Comment: This boy stood out as he wore a whistle around his neck. He would often carry my camera bag.

Subject: Three Men<p/>
Comment: These men were stood watching Nepalese dancing. Lots of drama here
Subject: Old Lady<p/>
Comment: As with most of the villagers a big smile was virtually guaranteed

Subject: Broken Teeth<p/>
Comment: This man kept his mouth tight shut as I photographed him. I had seen his teeth and I encouraged him to smile and after about ten shots he obliged.

Subject: Bare feet<p/>
Comment: most of the small children wore no shoes. 

Subject: Big Scar<p/>
Comment: This man had pale skin and a huge scar on his forehead. He looks like he could be quite mean but he was very pleasant. 

Subject: School building<p/>
Comment: We walked for an hour from Kavre to the bus for our return journey. We were shown this school by the head master before leaving. This was the last image I took before we left.

Subject: Different world<p/>
Comment: My nephew suffered the same problem as this little girl. His eye was corrected with surgery! I suspect this youngster will not be so lucky.
